INTC Podcast: Diann Valentine Drops Gems On What It Takes To Be A Fruitful Black Business Owner
Back in September, I had the privilege of interviewing Diann Valentine for HelloBeautiful. I never do this, but I was so inspired by our conversation that I asked Diann if I could use the audio from our interview for my podcast. She graciously said yes.
Diann drops needed gems to Black female entrepreneurs. She speaks to the importance of Black ownership and how that has the power to shift the world.
From humble beginnings to soaring above and beyond achieving her wildest dreams, Diann Valentine has turned what was once a dream into her reality. As a vivacious, innovative mastermind, Diann powers forward to further her passion for the art of living well, all while looking and feeling beautiful. From hosting Bravo TV’s “To Rome For Love,” Valentine continues to maneuver between being a businesswoman, television personality, event designer, and Glow + Flow Beauty Supply and Salon owner. As an incredibly sought-after and admired TV host and event designer, Valentine saw a natural transition to fuse her deepest passions, beauty, and events, to help women look fabulous. Understanding these dynamics about herself, she and her husband launched a beauty supply store to reach incredible the women in their communities she willingly champions.
Before being the owner of Glow + Flow Beauty and solely focusing on building her business, Diann was the creative genius behind some of the biggest celebrations for Usher, Martin Lawrence, Toni Braxton, Kelis and Nas, Basketball Wives’ Jennifer Williams, Lela Rochon, and Boyz II Men crooner Shawn Stockman, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge along with the unfortunately controversial and short-lived nuptials of Basketball Wives break-out star Evelyn Lozada and NFL player Chad Johnson to name a few.
Outside of event design, shooting network TV shows, designing wedding life celebrations, inspiring live audiences, and being a beauty guru, Valentine loves to travel and observe new arts, architecture, and cultures worldwide. However, in her world, everything revolves around the loves of her life, her daughter, Riann, grandsons Qatazap and Gad (Lola’s Boyfriends) and husband, best friend, and marketing mogul Damon Haley.
As a proud African American woman, Valentine is a pioneer. With many titles above her head. Diann Valentine lives in Los Angeles with her husband and business partner, Damon Haley.
